There is One Presence and One Power in the universe. The One Power expresses through each of us and lives as potential within us always. Charles Fillmore described 12 Powers which are the various pathways through which the One Power expresses. Will is one of the 12 Powers. According to Charles, Will is the avenue through which the “I Am” expresses.
We must reach deep within to the “I Am” (the divine nature) of our being to fully exercise the Power of Will. Through the Power of Will we create our lives, manifest our deepest heart’s desires, and change our world.

As a Unity student thirty years ago I became fascinated with the 12 Powers. Over the years I have read much, studied, taught classes and spoken on this unique wisdom. Each time I find the teaching goes deeper and carries more meaning in my everyday awakening to the living spirit, the Christ within. This Sunday all who attend will have a chance to PICK ONE POWER from our table as we launch this focus on Unity’s unique wisdom.

Rev. Blair Tabor is an ordained Unity Minister of forty-four years, accomplished speaker, composer and musician. He has used his varied talents to inspire and delight churches, retreats, conferences and young people all over the country with his speaking and songs. He leads a variety of workshops and trainings for congregants, ministers and boards of directors for churches.
As a ministry consultant, Blair has led board orientations and trainings to build sense deeper sense of community within boards of directors. He uses several different planning models to help churches envision and actualize their future. Blair is also called upon to provide training for board officers and staff.
Seven years ago, he retired from full-time ministry from Unity San Diego after 30 years of service. Currently, he is serving as the Administrative Director of the Unity Church of Alhambra Foundation which provides scholarships for students who want to become Unity ministers and Licensed Unity Teachers, as well as provide grants for Regional youth activities and church growth projects in the Southwest Unity Region. Rev. Blair is also Advising Minister for Unity of Tustin. He and his wife, Meredith, lead Unity travel opportunities around the world. Blair is also on the Spiritual Mistry Team for Unity of Tustin.
As a songwriter, he has written over two hundred songs. He has produced a book on Spiritual (Sufi) Dancing. He and the Unity San Diego church band, The Affirmatives, recorded a CD of 13 of Blair’s songs. A songbook of these songs is available. He has also produced meditation CD’s. He plays a variety of instruments and delights in making people smile. Last year, he and his wife, Meredith, were awarded Unity Worldwide Ministries “Grace Note” award for lifetime achievement in New Thought music. He produced a new CD to celebrate the occasion.
His Mission is: Develop and deliver resources for spiritual transformation.
His goal is to remind people of their connection to God’s love and joy.

“Burning Bowl Ceremony”
Rev. Dr. Patricia Keel
The Burning Bowl Ceremony and ritual has been used by many traditions at year end to release and let go of past challenges both internally and externally and to imagine and call forth a powerful intention and vision for the coming year. We will gather together in person at the church and on Zoom to collectively share in a meditation and reflection.
Each of us will reflect and write down those qualities and challenges that we are ready to release. We will symbolically create a mental burning. Then later we will have the opportunity to burn or destroy our personal papers at Unity or at home as part of the ritual. After the releasing we will take the time to vison and imagine 12 months ahead, seeing ourselves in gratitude for a powerful year 2026. We will write a gratitude letter to the Divine or to our higher selves and put it in a special place to be open in the late months this new year.

Rev. Sonya MiltonOne of the myriad of myths that lodge in consciousness reports that after “God” created the universe, “He” smashed it into a million pieces. Our mandate then as human beings is to search out all these crystal shreds and put them back together, thereby, repairing the world.
This process is known as Tikkun Olam, a Hebrew phrase that literally translates as repairing the world.
We’ll explore this idea that we have the responsibility to make the world a better, more just, and more compassionate place through our thoughts, prayers, and actions..
Rev. Sonya Milton is retired from pulpit Ministry and enjoys spending time with her family, and, especially, her husband of over 40 years, Rev. Hal Milton. Previously, she served Unity Worldwide Ministries and the West Central Region as a Certified Transition Consultant, guest speaker and workshop/retreat facilitator, and all around beneficial presence. Her passion and joy lie in assisting people in “coming to themselves” in real, authentic, and profound ways.
